ADGER, Ala. – A quiet stretch of Camp Oliver Road was the scene of a fatal accident on the evening of May 3, claiming the life of a 66-year-old man.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as William Joseph Crauswell of Graysville. Authorities reported that the single-vehicle collision occurred around 7:15 p.m. in the 11000 block of the road. According to preliminary information, Crauswell was operating a motorcycle that left the roadway and struck a tree.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles or individuals were involved in the crash.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation to determine the precise circumstances that led to the wreck. Officials have not released any additional details as the inquiry remains active.
