Our community is heartbroken by the tragic and unexpected passing of Matt Billingsley at just 25 years old. Taken far too soon in an accident, Matt leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, and profound love that will forever be cherished by all who knew him.
A proud Army veteran, Matt was a devoted husband to his wife, having built a beautiful life together after their marriage in November 2023. He was an incredible father who adored his one-year-old son, Levi, and was a loving son, brother, and a faithful follower of Jesus. To know Matt was to know kindness, selflessness, and unwavering loyalty. He was a hardworking, family-oriented man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures—Hot Wheels, cheesecake, hunting, board games, and time with family, friends, and his dogs. He faithfully served on his church’s security team, living as a true example of compassion.
Matt’s world revolved around his family and his faith. No matter how long his day, he was a hands-on father and protector, ensuring his home was filled with love. He believed deeply that with God, everything would be okay.
As we mourn this immense loss, we ask you to surround his wife, young son, and all his family in your prayers. May they find strength in the faith and love that Matt carried every single day. Matt attended Dieterich Unit 30 School for a time, and our entire community holds his memory close.
