Newtown Township Police Department,Council Rock High School North Threats Investigation: A Cautionary Response

This morning, Council Rock High School North (CRHS North) initiated a swift safety protocol after receiving a threatening communication. Acting with an abundance of caution, school administrators immediately placed the building on a secure lockdown. First responders, including the Newtown Township Police Department, promptly arrived and conducted a thorough sweep of the premises.

Following their investigation, authorities confirmed that **no credible threat was identified** at the school. The lockdown has since been lifted, and the school day is resuming. This incident was not isolated; it appears to be part of a broader series of “swatting” calls targeting multiple school districts across Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Berks, and Delaware counties, as well as Philadelphia and potentially nationwide.

While these threats have proven false, the coordinated response underscores the serious and precautionary measures taken by local law enforcement and school districts to prioritize student and staff safety above all else. The Newtown Township Police Department is leading the investigation into the origin of the threat made against CRHS North.
